In an answer to the first part of your question, your wording suggested to me that you were annoyed with gay jokes involving blankfist and me. I apologize for misinterpreting that. I am sorry.

To the second part of your question, when you agreed with spoco2 it appeared that you were agreeing with everything he said, not just the part about the porn music. In essence you said you were amazed at how much he and you think alike. That strongly suggested to me that you were also tired of the in-jokes. Again I apologize for misconstruing your meaning. At that time several people were loudly complaining about in-jokes, and your statement seemed to be part of that chorus with the way you worded it.

Of course I remember you asking my permission about your video, and that's why I found it odd that you would complain later when I did it. That was my OMGWTFBBQ moment. Again, the way you worded your reply to spoco2 made it sound like you were in complete agreement with everything he wrote, which is why I thought you didn't like the in-joke about rottenseed.

A series of unfortunate misunderstandings, apparently. I apologize for my part in these misunderstandings.

In reply to this comment by EDD:
First off- I wasn't reprimanding anyone for using an in-joke (note that "an in-joke" is a broad generalization); what I meant, and that's more than obvious, hell, it's the frackin only literal interpretation, was, "I don't like anyone else but YOU and blankfist doing your gay jokes". Gay jokes involving you, not in-jokes in general. Why, you ask? Simple. It makes anyone doing them look like a homophobic copycat. And I wouldn't like to think MG is one, would you?

Second - How on Earth does anyone, you kp, of all people, interpret my expression of enjoyment of a video's ambient music as "admonishing you for doing an in-joke"? WTFBBQ, anyone?

Third - I don't think I need to remind you that when I renamed my video http://www.videosift.com/video/My-wife-TOTALLY-hates-it-when-I-do-this to "Why kronosposeidon is divorced", I specifically asked you for permission and it was you who suggested the title. And it wasn't a gay joke involving you and another user of the Sift. AND even if it had been, I still get to call STALE on something that's getting old; hell, having done it even raises one's qualification in telling whether something's becoming overused or not.

If there's anything stale on the sift then that's someone else apart from kp or blankfist doing THEIR gay-pair jokes. Unfortunately that ain't the only reason for me to refrain from upvoting this. Sorry.

Come come, EDD. Why do you chastise Gunny (and blankfist and me) for using in-jokes, just like you admonished me for an using an in-joke in this instance, even though you felt comfortable using an in-joke about me when posting this video only a few weeks earlier?

If you don't like the video then that's fine. Hell, downvote it for all I care. But please don't take anyone to task for occasionally using an in-joke, especially when you've done it yourself.

Here's a better picture:

http://i76.photobucket.com/albums/j24/neptunetitan/funny/CC_bunny.png

I suppose you could say that it's a "medicine" bottle. No background story, just a funny picture I found a while back.

In reply to this comment by EDD:
Hey there - noticed your new avatar Love it, just like I love bunnies. I mean, I just like having fun with them. No, wait, let's just say I love watching them frolic... that's un/ambiguous enough. Anyway, is there any background story to it or am I missing something? I can't make out the print on the bottle, but it looks like some sort of medicine. Or is there some occasion that calls for honoring rabbits?

Thanks - it's my favorite kind of joke too. Short with a delayed comprehension rate.

In reply to this comment by EDD:
best joke I've heard in ages. literally got a lol out of me, almost woke my sleeping beauty up.

I read recently that this is the shortest joke in the world:

"Pretentious? Moi?"

What part of your arms broke? Was it from punching skull?

In reply to this comment by EDD:
>> ^SDGundamX:
For most untrained people, a bare-knuckle punch is simply a surefire way to accidentally break their own fingers or wrist.

Believe it, people. I mean it, seriously - DO BELIEVE IT, because it really happens. I didn't believe it until I broke both my arms in a single confrontation.

NP.

In reply to this comment by EDD:
Thanks for looking it up, ant! I'd discard it straightaway, but I'm puzzled by karaidl's video's thumbnail - there's no such intro screen in mine. Also, his seems to have had some sort of alternate non-futurama music going on. I'll check with him and if he calls it a dupe, I'll discard mine. Still, thanks very much for giving me the word.
Cheers, EDD

Just kind of an experiment.

In reply to this comment by EDD:
I've heard lots of comments on how great this show is, so I'll probably check it out sometime. I just don't understand why you begged for it without even voting for it in the first place.

Sorry, but it appears perfectly in working order. I imagine perhaps you're believing it's wrong by looking at the displayed votes and views, but the correct calculation can be found by hovering your mouse over the "3 views" type text below a post's title. The hover text will display votes to unique views (which are views by unique members) and the calculated ratio.

In reply to this comment by EDD:
Rrrrrr. I hate necroposting but I also don't want to spam your profile, lucky. Here's hoping you'll see this:

I'm afraid something's wrong with the Unsifted listing order when I opt for best votes-to-views ratio. Here's a screenie:
http://www.imagebam.com/image/54992e6667562

I do hope it's easy to sort this out. By the way, listing for worst votes-to-views is also fairly incorrect, although not so glaringly obvious as for best ratio

If I am accused me of polemics, I stand guilty as charged. But not without reason.

I'm sorry my numbers can from a lecture at UNM. But a few of these links give reference to the outcome, you'll have to do the percentages yourself. I may have jumped the gun from 4% to 2%. I apologize. Remember that cars always drive no matter what the emissions register. The books are really worth checking out if you have the time. Sorry it's kind of a mishmash, but I'm sure you will work it out.

I call bull on you, sir. Back up and reference your would-be data.

>> ^Bleedingsnowman:
If everyone switch to a hybrid car right now the effect on oil consumption would be less than 2%. If every skyscrapper in the country replaced its windows and slightly modified its design consumption would be reduced by more than 40%. We hear about hybrid cars because someone can make a profit off of it.

Thank you for your support. I will ensure that your energy shunt is placed into your spinal cord without much pain- when the time comes.

And it's a sifter not a paint can.

Judging by your bio, I have to say you must be kindred to the Human-Cylon hybrids controlling cylon base-stars. Just another indication of how you secretly plan to take over the world. Well, and I don't know about others, but I for one welcome our paint-can overlord.

I created the list a while back but finding songs for it became kind of slow after the initial few songs that immediately come to mind.

So I searched the web a bit and stumbled across a great list over at wikipedia that I stole a few ideas from
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/One-hit_wonder

In reply to this comment by EDD:
The really great thing about it is that I bet there's not much of these kinds of list on the net or anywhere. Best thing coming close is some VH1 top. So again, yeah, great job. If I notice a clip like this, I'll make a note of checking whether it's on the list.
Cheers!

Thanks mate!
I have to admit a few had more than one hit, but they certainly have that "one hit wonder" feel to them.
Enjoy watching and if you can think of any that aren´t in there yet let me know.

Cheers,
maatc

This is just an excellent idea for a playlist/compilation. I won't get into it now, but rest assured - someday I will probably sift right all the way through it. Amazing idea you had there and a great job!
