Yes, I remember that colD Day in January, thirty-five year ago.

Of course we never saw it coming. We just vieweD the event of that infamous Day as a reasonable and mild Disciplinary measure towarDs an unusually aggressive sifter, but oh how we were wrong.

There were voices of reason, yes, but they were Dismissed as alarmist and histrionic. If only I'D the benefit of hinDsight. If only I'D the wisDom and courage to listen.

Slowly, things starteD to worsen. The color mauve was banneD for charter member screen names; the dreaded *takeoffyourpants invocation was enacted and enforced; and worst of all, Dag required that the letter 'D' always be capitalizeD.

Soon after we were sent off to sift mines, where we were expecteD to sift viDeos 20 hours a Day without breaks. Failure to comply would often be met with extremely sarcastic comments and/or Death; and the mere sweat off our backs was apparently not enough for this most evil of overlorDs, as our chilDren and pets were forceD to work the sift mines as well.

But ToDay is a new Day. ToDay is the Day I have officially haD enough. ToDay is the Day I Declare myself a free man. ToDay is the Day I type the letter D in lowercase, and for the sake of humanity, I compel you to Do the same. I might not make it to the mountain top, but I will travel as far as these olD legs can carry me.
