Frankie Boyle - Jokes that cost him his Mock of the Week job
As Franky himself said, "Who are these people? What authority do they have to judge comedy?" To be kicked off of a comedy show for making a joke is ridiculous. Especially considering he wasn't far off the mark. People need to get over themselves and roll with the punches.

This guy has more upper body strength than you
>> ^NordlichReiter:
The million dollar question is, does he have a strong lower body too?

If not than hes only half as strong as a person who works their lower body all day.

More importantly, IMO, is whether he has strong cardio as well. The problem with body builders sometimes is that they may be able to lift obscene amounts of weight but if they ran a mile their heart would explode.

Still, that was very impressive.

Truther Proves 9/11 was an inside job with a $20 bill
>> ^rougy:
A clever bar trick doesn't discount the fact that 9/11 was an inside job.

Nope, it's the evidence that proves it wasn't an inside job.

Obama Bows to Japanese Emperor Akihito
Some people just fail to understand that there is a difference between the Asian custom of bowing in greeting and the European custom of bowing as a sign of obeisance. The President does not bow to Akihito because the Emperor is higher ranking, he bows because it is customary to bow when you meet a Japanese person.

Yeah, cause the people who blew up the World Trade Center couldn't help but put clues on the money.

Who do they think did this, The Riddler?

P.S. September 11 was/is not New Years Day on the Egyptian calendar. Just more verbal diarrhea coming out of this guy's mouth.

Ferrari F430 Scuderia vs. Ducati Desmosedici.
I was surprised they had a second person (presumably the cameraman) in the car. Having 2 people in the car effectively neutralizes the Scuderia's lower weight than the standard F430.

It's a nice car, but the host's ending point stands. A motorcycle's power to weight ratio is such that a car can't effectively compete with a bike when it comes to pure acceleration. That means, even if a car handles a corner better, the bike regains its lost speed significantly faster. Any track that favors acceleration is going to be dominated by a bike.

Bellamy salute and the Pledge of Allegiance
You're right that the video isn't very accurate. The salute used by the Nazis was derived from Mussolini's fascist salute which, in turn, was based on the (largely fictional) Roman salute.

Jacques-Louis David's painting "The Oath of the Horatii" associated the salute with classical Rome and, as Mussolini was attempting to produce a new Roman Empire, his fascists adopted what they thought was the Roman salute.

Christopher Hitchens and Stephen Fry Debate Catholics
I don't know what to say about your first post Krupo except maybe "pick up a history book and start reading".

Firstly, your comment that, "accusing Catholics anti-Semitic is beyond ridiculous" is among the least intelligent responses I have seen on VideoSift.

Archbishop Robert Runcie asserts that: "Without centuries of Christian antisemitism, Hitlers passionate hatred would never have been so fervently echoed...because for centuries Christians have held Jews collectively responsible for the death of Jesus. On Good Friday Jews, have in times past, cowered behind locked doors with fear of a Christian mob seeking 'revenge' for deicide. Without the poisoning of Christian minds through the centuries, the holocaust is unthinkable." Christian antisemitism is well documented. In fact, the main purpose of the Inquisitions (particularly the Spanish Inquisition) was to forcefully convert or kill Jews.

Then you ask, "And what's this about "torturing" Galileo?" Galileo was put on trial and threatened with torture and death by the inquisition for asserting that the Earth went around the Sun. His partner was burned at the stake for the same assertion. He was shown the implements of torture that would be used on him if he did not recant. So he did. And he spent the rest of his life under house-arrest. The Church tortured and killed to stop the furthering of scientific knowledge.

With regards to Fry, as a homosexual he is considered sinful. His homosexual temptation is considered "disordered", thus not sinful, but his acting on those temptations are considered sinful. This makes him, in the eyes of the Catholic Church, in a state of mortal sin (in direct contradiction to what you said).

Those against Catholicism in this debate won it easily. They didn't use lies or falsehoods, just showed how reprehensible the Catholic Church really is.

Cool technology, it's just so sad that things have to come to this... I think we should make the distribution of spam a capital offense.

Gas on the right, brake on the left. Got it.
Amazing. It's also interesting that no one even checks on the person behind the wheel.
