I'm iffy about this idea, so I'm going to throw it out there for everyone to consider... Should this be in #sports? I know it's not exactly a sport but it's kinda sporty, innit?
Don't ask me why, but I got the same feeling I get when I watch any of the Maru cat videos. And sure enough, at the end, it was Japanese. Now that makes me wonder what qualities of both videos are distinctly Japanese. Points to ponder...

No Death Metal or Britney Spears playing the background. No intense, prolific swearing when the ball/cat goes into the item at hand. No running around giving high fives at the same time as above. No stupid sound effects. No cackling girlfriend/wife/landlord/random-passerby. No introductory voiceover explaining exactly what it is we are about to see. Verbatim.

Well in each case the videos are made up of short clips that each display a build-up to a resolution of action, over and over. Also the things that happen are prosaic and slightly tranquilizing to watch. Plus there's no sound besides the ambient noises; it's almost like there's nobody there.

I love how the sounds combine to make music in this artist's videos.
loneliest blue bucket i've ever seen...
three2 now...Slow sift week.
Here in the Civilized West, we just build shit like this in Garry's Mod.
I can't figure out which one is more pathetic.
