My first though exactly, "boo hoo poor executive VP". However! The problem here is - what if this wasn't a VP? What if this had happened to say, some regular guy who flies all over the place hardly ever sees his family, and is on his way back home? What if this was you? It doesn't matter than it happened to this particular guy, the fact is that it could have happened to anyone really. If that had been me, I'd be pissed as all hell, and who wouldn't be?

I was torn between thinking "This is outrageous! Intolerable!" and "Wtf do I care that some douchey corporate executive got turned down from first class? Why is this news?" But still, that ain't right and I would be plenty pissed off it happened to me as well.

I can understand dress code for some things... work, nice restaurants... but this is a fucking plane. Why should you put on a suit to be stuffed into a chair for a couple hours? First class might be less stuffed than coach, but it's still just a chair.

Yeah. I believe his outfit was a track suit, not a jump suit.

I was curious so I just looked this up. 'Jumpsuit' originally referred to sky diving attire but later came to refer to any one-piece. It's pretty common to hear track suits referred to as jumpsuits, though.

I fly first class a lot, and I've never once paid for it. In fact, I'd wager that 95% of the people sitting in the front of the plane were given those unsold seats as upgrades.

Last time I was in Best Buy I was falsely accused of shoplifting. What really pissed me off is I sensed that the security officer had decided I was a shoplifter long before I checked out. I'll never buy anything at Best Buy again, and if I can help it, never at their canadian sister company Future Shop either (who seem to hire only pathological liars from India as long-term employees).

He makes a good point though, if you're flying you want to be comfortable and isn't first class about as comfortable as you can be?

The fact is it's still an aeroplane, not a 5 star restaurant. I'm not gonna dress up in my sunday best to just to get from A to B.
