Guy Handles G Force Test Like a Boss

(youtube) This is me at Naval Air Station Lemoore California. If you cant tell from watching the video I was a little bit nervous in the beginning but I quickly warmed up after my resting G tolerance. I am in whats called a centrifuge and doing the G profile of the F/A-18 Hornet.1st profile is to see resting tolerance. 2nd is resting tolerance + 1g. 3rd is resting tolerance +2g. Fourth profile is ACM (Air Combat Manuevering). The fifth profile simulates looking for an aircraft during a dogfight and pulling 7.5g's at the same time.

The facility is one of eight in the country, teaching everything from survival first aid to methods of combating G-force-induced loss of consciousness, or G-LOC.

NASL's centrifuge training facility has been in service since 1996, and is the only one Aviators flock to NASL from all over the country to train in the centrifuge to learn how to recognize and counter the effects of G-LOC, which occurs when high G-forces cause blood to rush from the head down into the lower extremities aka dog fights with fighter aircraft.
