the sheer power on display in this video is terrifying to me. 104 000 people. thats hard to wrap your head around that many lives being lost. this was truely the greatest tragedy in my life time.

It's absolutly heart breaking... you know the sad thing is over one hundred thousand people die... and I believe its something almost forgotten already in the west...

on the bright side, the devastation caused by the tsunami and the need for a unified front in cleaning in up and getting aceh back on its feet led to a peace settlement between the Indonesian government and the Free Aceh rebellion. just the slightest of silver linings

And yet everyone remembers 9/11 where only a few thousand died. It's all about media coverage.
