I kept looking for parody on there somewhere because it's hard to believe this is real. I especially loved McCain & the cross...becuase Obama has probably gone to church more than him.

I think some people may be getting populism confused with communism and in turn confusing with socialism/fascism. I would say there has never been a national-level communist government in modern history. I see the "communist" governments like Cuba and Russia as little more than dictators that promised all kinds of fun stuff to get the people behind them and then skimped on the delivery. I think it's too hard for people to give up power once they have it. Or something like that...I'm basically two steps above Forest Gump, so don't dwell on my words too long.

unfortunately there is actually a large portion of the population who thinks like this. Seriously. I get emails spewing this stuff forwarded to me by a little old lady I know, which have been fowarded and passed around to sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo many people. choggie, when I say "lies" in this context, it refers to the channel definition, i.e., truthiness - "stating facts that you believe or want to be true, rather than stating facts that are known to be true"

The photoshopped pictures of Barack and Osama, Barack as Che, etc. And the obvious "Obama is not an American or Christian." Well, if he wasn't a native American, he would be constitutionally disqualified from being president, so it's patently false. All of those and more qualify this for the Lies channel.

MG - I may be wrong, but perhaps your view of christians is skewed by location. I've recently spent a lot of time in the deep south, and I personally know more than a few christians who think along similar lines. Don't worry, I'm working to "fix" them.
