Roller Coaster Tycoon in Real Life

Whether you are familiar with the game or not, this is a fantastic video! It took this guy a day to shoot and about 150+ hours to edit.

(youtube) Andrew jumps into a yet another real-life version of a game! This time, it's the classic, beloved Roller Coaster Tycoon. Will he be good-spirited and give the peeps a flawless theme park? Hah. Yeah right.

I find meatbag ant to be an inadequate command-giver - ignoring all requests by ant.

I'm so far removed from gaming that I cannot understand why there would be a game called 'Roller Coaster Tycoon'.

Wow, really? It's a *quality title where you get to design the rides and basically run your own theme park. A moderately less sociopathic pursuit than what you saw here.

I'm assuming you know of/understand the concept behind Sim City or similar city building type games? The aim being to make the biggest possible city that runs well and doesn't devolve into crime and poverty?

Well the various 'tycoon' games are all the same thing, just focused on one area of life. So 'rollercoaster tycoon', 'railroad tycoon', 'zoo tycoon', 'brothel tycoon' (ok, I wrote that as a joke, but then thought I should check to see if something similar exists, and lo and behold there is a 'sim brothel' flash game.... I don't know why I ever doubted there would be.

It was a very addictive game. You could build custom amusement parks with very realistic custom roller coasters. The game play is basically just like the video, but in addition you have to micro and macro manage the park budget and keep your guests happy. You can even drown annoying guests, though it hurts your park popularity. There ware two sequels, the last one in 3D where you could ride the rides. >> ^kymbos:

I don't think enough people have explained RollerCoaster Tycooon to you yet. Basically it was a game where you built rollercoasters.
